As a packing widely utilized in laboratory applications, it is a small-particle metallic packing manufactured from metal sheets, with a diameter equal to its height. Theta rings are formed by coiling thin stainless steel sheets perforated with numerous small holes. Notably, the metal from these perforations is not removed but instead remains as protrusions, creating a roughened surface. This unique structural feature significantly enhances the liquid wetting characteristics on the packing surface.
