Product Introduction
A Metal Wire Mesh Demister, also known as a mist eliminator or mist pad, is a highly efficient and cost-effective device designed for the separation of liquid droplets and mist entrained in gas streams. Its core component is a knitted wire mesh, typically made from various metals such as Stainless Steel (304/316L), Monel, Titanium, and other alloys. These mesh layers are crimped and layered to form pads, which are then placed on a support grid inside the equipment.
Working Principle: When a gas carrying liquid droplets passes through the wire mesh at a specific velocity, the droplets collide with the fine wires due to inertial impaction and are captured on the wire surfaces. These collected droplets then coalesce into larger ones. As the droplets grow, their weight eventually overcomes the upward force of the gas and the surface tension, causing them to detach and drain down, thus effectively separating the liquid from the gas。
