Product Introduction
A gasketed plate heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with four corner holes for the passage of the two fluids between which heat transfer will take place. The metal plates are assembled in a frame with a fixed plate and a movable pressure plate on one side, then tightened with clamping bolts. Sealing gaskets are fitted to the plates to seal the fluid channels and direct the fluids alternately into their respective passages, where heat exchange occurs. The number and size of the plates are determined by the flow rate, physical properties, pressure drop, and temperature difference of the fluids.
The corrugated plates not only enhance the degree of turbulence but also create numerous support points sufficient to withstand the pressure difference between the media. The metal plates and the movable pressure plate are suspended from an upper guide bar and positioned by a lower guide bar, with the bar ends fixed to a support column. Due to its numerous advantages—such as high performance, space-saving design, energy efficiency, and simple maintenance—the plate heat exchanger has gained high recognition across various industries.
